Kishan Reddy Early Life & Family Information

His full name is Gangapuram Kishan Reddy and he was born on 15th June 1960 in Ranga Reddy district, Timmapur village of Andhra Pradesh which is now Telangana. He was raised by his parents Swamy Reddy Gangavarapu and G. Andalamma. Looking into his education, Kishan did a diploma in tool design from the Central Institute of Tool Design- CITD and no other information is available regarding his primary schooling. In the year, 1995 on 22nd March he married Gangapuram Kavya Reddy who is also a businesswoman and they have two children. They have one son namely, Tanmai Reddy, and daughter Vaishnavi.

His early political career began with the Janta Party as a leader of their youth wing but later joined the Bharatiya Janata Party after its formation in the year 1980 as an active full-time member. He became the state treasurer for BJP Yuva Morcha in his state department Andhra Pradesh and later the state secretary. Kishan Reddy was chosen as the state president for BJYM and subsequently became the whole nation’s president of his party’s Yuva Morcha or Youth Wing due to his immense contribution.

He has been elected as a member of the legislative assembly from Himayath Nagar and then for Amberpet constituency two times consecutively. Then in the Lok Sabha elections, Gangapuram Kishan successfully won the seat from Secunderabad and held the MoS for home affairs during the tenure. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, he was re-elected to the same seat and held the union Ministry of Coal and even Mines.
