CM Pema Khandu’s Early Life & Education
Born on 21 August 1979 in Tawang city of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu belongs to the reputed political family of Arunachal Pradesh. He is the eldest son of former Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu, who died in a helicopter crash on 30 April 2011 during a visit to his constituency in Tawang. He was educated at the Government Secondary School in Bomba, Tawang, where he completed his schooling in 1995. After that, he pursued his higher secondary education at Donyi-Polo Vidya Bhavan in Itanagar, which he completed in 1997.
However, He completed his graduation in  Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in History from Hindu College (University of Delhi). Khandu is a Buddhist by religion. He has two sons and two daughters. Pema Khandu belongs to the Monpa tribe, an indigenous community living mainly in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh, India. The Monpas are known for their rich cultural heritage, which includes vibrant festivals, traditional dance forms, and unique rituals.
