About N. Chandrababu Naidu’s Early Life & Political Career
Nara Chandrababu Naidu, popularly known as CBN or Kuppam was born in a small agricultural family of Naravaripalle of Madras State on 20th April 1950. He is currently 74 years of age and has been into politics from a very early age. He was born in Madras and raised by his parents, Nara Kharjura Naidu, an agriculturist, and Amanamma, a housewife. Chandrababu Naidu has completed the under and post-graduation degrees from Tirupati College of Sri Venkateshwara Arts College with the subject Economics. While pursuing PhD in Economics, he started taking an interest in politics and couldn’t complete the degree.
Talking about his political background, Nara Chandrababu Naidu joined the Indian Youth Congress (INC) in the year 1975 and initiated his journey. He soon became a member of the legislative assembly of Andhra Pradesh from a Chandragiri constituency in 1978. After losing his constituency, he joined the Telugu Desam Party, or TDP, and became the general secretary there. For the first time, he was sworn in as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh on 1st September 1995 against the NT Rama Rao. CBN was re-appointed as the Chief Minister of State due to his exceptional services. He is currently the National President of TDM and also the CM for the fourth term.
